Chelsea and Torino have reached a verbal agreement for the transfer of midfielder Cesare Casadei, with the deal set at €13 million plus a 20% sell-on clause, according to Fabrizio Romano.

While the clubs have agreed on the terms, the move is not yet finalised, as Torino still needs to complete further steps on the player’s side, including medical tests.

Casadei has struggled for regular game time at Chelsea this season, making just six appearances without registering a goal or assist. With playing opportunities limited under Enzo Maresca, a move to Serie A could provide the Italian midfielder with a fresh start.

Torino are now working to complete the transfer before the January transfer window deadline.

Romano confirmed the news and wrote on X.com: “Cesare Casadei to Torino from Chelsea, here we go! Agreement done between all parties, medical completed. €15m package for Chelsea plus 25% sell-on clause. Casadei signed his Torino contract few minutes ago.”

This will be a relief for all parties as the deal has had a lot of back and forth.
