Chelsea are optimistic about finding a loan destination for Ben Chilwell before the January transfer window closes, according to The Telegraph.
The 28-year-old left-back has struggled for game time under Enzo Maresca, making just one Carabao Cup appearance this season.
Despite his hefty £200,000-a-week wages and a lack of clear suitors, the club remains hopeful of finalising a temporary move.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have agreed to loan Renato Veiga to Juventus, leaving Marc Cucurella as the only natural left-back in the squad. However, Maresca has shown a preference for using Malo Gusto on the left flank rather than giving Chilwell a chance.
The Blues are working against the clock to resolve Chilwell’s situation and alleviate their wage bill before the window shuts.
