Manchester United fans are fuelling speculation about a sensational swap deal involving Alejandro Garnacho and Chelsea’s Cole Palmer. With Garnacho’s future at Old Trafford uncertain, some supporters believe an exchange could be the ideal solution.
The Argentine winger has reportedly shown interest in a move to Chelsea, with Napoli also in the mix. Adding to the transfer buzz, Garnacho’s representatives were spotted at Stamford Bridge during Chelsea’s 3-1 victory over Wolves on Monday night.
United initially valued the 19-year-old at £70 million but have since lowered their asking price to €65m (£54.8m) in talks with Napoli.
However, many United fans on social media have suggested that a direct swap with Chelsea for Palmer, who has been impressive since his move from Manchester City, would be a better deal.
One fan, Alex, posted, “Since Chelsea want Garnacho… A Palmer swap deal would cook. Who says no?”
Another supporter, KobbieEra, suggested, “Palmer + £20m,” while Connor called it “the best decision.”
Other fans echoed the sentiment, with Mattijs Delight declaring, “Let’s make it happen,” and Sufi adding, “I will be happy for that.”
Manchester United fans asking for a Palmer-Garnacho swap may be high on something.
