Marc Cucurella marked his 100th Premier League appearance in style, scoring a vital goal in Chelsea’s 3-1 triumph over Wolves.

The Spaniard spoke about the team’s determination and progress, praising the squad’s effort during the match.

“I think the team deserved it. We came through a tough moment and today we showed we wanted to win the game from the first minute,” Cucurella said.

The defender acknowledged some challenges during the game but highlighted the team’s response. “Maybe in the last few minutes of the first half we didn’t play our game and didn’t manage the situation, but in the second half, we showed we wanted to win the game, and we are really happy.”

Cucurella also reflected on Chelsea’s youthful squad and their development, as he highlighted the need to manage games.

He said: “We have a young squad, but we have a lot of talent. I think maybe we need to manage the games better because in most of the games we have scored first but then we concede, but this is part of the process.”

Looking ahead, he emphasised the importance of staying focused. He concluded: “We are really happy, and we know we need to take it game by game, and we are focused on the next 90 minutes.”

Cucurella’s comments underline Chelsea’s growing confidence and determination to build momentum in their Premier League campaign.
