Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca praised his team’s performance and improvement in game management following their 3-1 win over Wolves.

Reflecting on the match, Maresca told Sky Sports: “The first 40 minutes we were top. The performance was excellent, and we dominated the game. We scored and created many more chances.”

Despite their dominance early on, Chelsea faced a nervy end to the first half, with familiar struggles allowing Wolves to score and gain confidence.

Maresca admitted: “We lost control in the last five minutes of the first half.”

However, the manager highlighted his team’s ability to recover after halftime as evidence of their progress. “The second half we started quite well, and when we scored, the game was under control,” he added.
