Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has dismissed the possibility of recalling Andrey Santos from his loan at Strasbourg despite injuries to key midfielders Enzo Fernandez and Romeo Lavia.
When asked about a potential recall, Maresca told reporters on Friday: “No, because at the moment, we don’t know if it’s a problem for them. Just that for today they were out, and we don’t know if they will play the next game.”
Fernandez and Lavia are both sidelined due to fitness concerns, raising questions about Chelsea’s midfield depth. However, Maresca’s comments suggest the club is not yet considering drastic measures to address the situation.
The Blues will now have to rely on their available options as they prepare for their upcoming fixtures, with fans hopeful for swift recoveries for both midfielders.
