Chelsea’s rising star Josh Acheampong has credited four senior teammates for playing pivotal roles in his development as he continues to establish himself in the first team.
The 18-year-old defender, who made his debut in May 2024, has already featured in both the Premier League and the Conference League, earning praise for his maturity and composure on the field.
Acheampong, who recently signed a new contract in December, singled out Reece James, Tosin Adarabioyo, Marcus Bettinelli, and Levi Colwill for their guidance and support.
“The older players remind me why I’m here and push me to stay focused,” he revealed. “If I don’t do something, they’re on me straight away.”
His work ethic and resilience have not only impressed Chelsea fans but also head coach Enzo Maresca, who sees Acheampong as a key part of the club’s future.
With the unwavering support of his teammates, Acheampong is on course to fulfill his immense potential at Stamford Bridge.
