Trevoh Chalobah’s journey at Chelsea has been one filled with moments of promise, especially during Thomas Tuchel’s tenure as manager. Chalobah became a regular in Tuchel’s back three, lining up alongside seasoned defenders Thiago Silva and Antonio Rudiger.

From the moment Chalobah made his debut, Tuchel was effusive in his praise for the young defender. Chalobah marked his first Premier League appearance with a stunning long-range goal, leaving his manager thoroughly impressed.

Speaking to BBC Sport after the match, Tuchel said:

“Fantastic. He gets all the praise and it’s well deserved. Two excellent matches. He played against Arsenal and Tottenham in friendlies, then 120 minutes on Wednesday, then 90 today and scores. It’s fantastic these things happen in sports. A perfect day for him.”

As Chalobah returns to Chelsea following his loan spell at Crystal Palace, his focus will be on regaining his place in the team and showcasing his talent once again. With Chelsea’s next Premier League fixture against Wolves approaching, it remains to be seen if Chalobah will feature.

However, his past performances under Tuchel’s management provide a strong foundation for his ambitions to secure regular game time and attract attention from England’s national team selectors.
