Chelsea player ratings vs Bournemouth: Moises Caicedo struggles badly

Chelsea’s winless run in the Premier League stretched to five games as they drew 2-2 with Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.

Cole Palmer’s exquisite first-half goal gave the Blues a promising lead, but defensive frailties saw Bournemouth storm back in the second half through goals from Justin Kluivert and Antoine Semenyo. Reece James, Chelsea’s captain, rescued a point with a stunning stoppage-time free-kick.

For manager Enzo Maresca, this was another disappointing display that highlights Chelsea’s struggles in critical moments. With Wolverhampton Wanderers up next, the Blues must find a way to rediscover their form.

Chelsea Player Ratings vs Bournemouth

Robert Sanchez – 5

A mixed outing for the goalkeeper. He was fortunate not to concede after a misplaced pass, and his performance dipped in the second half, beaten by Kluivert’s penalty and Semenyo’s near-post rocket.

Moises Caicedo – 5

Struggled in his inverted right-back role. His clumsy foul conceded the penalty for Bournemouth’s equaliser. An uncharacteristic off-day.

Josh Acheampong – 5

The youngster showed promise but was caught out one-on-one for Bournemouth’s second goal. Substituted shortly after.

Levi Colwill – 6

A dominant aerial presence, but couldn’t prevent another defensive collapse.

Marc Cucurella – 6

Energetic down the left flank and at the centre of controversy after a hair-pull incident involving David Brooks.

Romeo Lavia – 6

Impressive in his league return but lost possession in the build-up to Bournemouth’s first goal. Subbed off early in the second half.

Enzo Fernandez – 7

A creative force in midfield, providing attacking impetus and proving his worth in a struggling side.

Noni Madueke – 6

Showed flashes of brilliance, including a dribble that deserved an assist. Fierce competition with Pedro Neto for a starting spot.

Cole Palmer – 8

Chelsea’s standout player. Scored a stunning goal and was a constant creative threat, but his efforts weren’t enough to secure victory.

Jadon Sancho – 6

Bright and direct with the ball but lacked the finishing touch.

Nicolas Jackson – 6

Assisted Palmer’s goal but squandered several chances that could have sealed the game.
