Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has underlined the significance of the FA Cup as he aims to secure his first trophy at Stamford Bridge.

Despite the club’s strong FA Cup history, with their last triumph in 2018, the Blues have fallen short in three finals between 2020 and 2022.

When asked about the competition’s importance, Maresca said: “It’s an important competition but since we started, we are trying to treat all of the competitions the same way.”

The Italian coach emphasised his commitment to success across all fronts this season. “The Premier League, the Conference League, unfortunately in the Carabao Cup we lost against Newcastle, now the FA Cup. We try to do our best in all of the competitions,” he added.

As Chelsea progress in the FA Cup, Maresca’s determination to restore the club’s winning mentality is evident. The Blues are looking to add silverware to their season and overcome recent disappointments in domestic cup finals.
