Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea side breezed past League Two outfit Morecambe with a resounding 5-0 victory at Stamford Bridge, securing their place in the FA Cup fourth round.

The Blues dominated from start to finish but missed an early chance to take the lead when Christopher Nkunku failed to convert a penalty in the 17th minute. However, Chelsea broke the deadlock before halftime, with summer signing Tosin Adarabioyo heading home to make it 1-0.

Nkunku redeemed himself shortly after the break, doubling the lead in the 50th minute. Adarabioyo then scored his second of the match to extend Chelsea’s advantage to 3-0.

Joao Felix, introduced as a substitute, added a late flourish to the game. The Portuguese forward scored twice in the closing stages, sealing a commanding victory for the Blues and leaving Morecambe with no answer to Chelsea’s attacking firepower.

Chelsea will now look forward to the fourth round as they continue their pursuit of FA Cup glory.
