Alan Shearer believes Chelsea are the only Premier League club capable of signing Newcastle United’s star striker Alexander Isak due to his enormous price tag. Newcastle reportedly value the 25-year-old at £150m, with Shearer suggesting they may demand even more.

“Other than possibly Chelsea, I genuinely don’t think that anybody could afford to buy Alexander Isak,” Shearer told Betfair.

“Because of the way that the rules are structured with PSR, I don’t think that anybody could afford him.”

Chelsea, known for their big spending under BlueCo, could target Isak after splashing record fees on players like Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo. Shearer praised Isak’s impact, stating, “If you’ve paid £63 million for someone and he’s smashing the league up like he is right now, what would the price be? £150m? I don’t think that they would even entertain that—why would they?”

Isak, who has 13 goals and four assists in 18 Premier League games this season, continues to impress, solidifying his status as one of the league’s top strikers.
