Former England international Chris Waddle has called on new England manager Thomas Tuchel to construct his team around Chelsea’s rising star Cole Palmer, who has been in scintillating form since last season.
Palmer, just 22 years old, has been a standout performer for the Blues, netting 13 goals and registering six assists in 20 appearances. His creativity and vision have not gone unnoticed, with Waddle hailing him as one of England’s most talented players.
“Cole Palmer always catches the eye,” Waddle remarked. “He’s a great creative player. People forget the creative part of the game is the hardest part of football.”
Waddle further praised Palmer’s ability to dictate play, saying, “He sees a pass more than any other player we’ve got. It would be daft not to build a team around him.”
Tuchel, who took over as England manager in January, is actively scouting Premier League matches as he prepares for the upcoming March international break.
With Palmer emerging as a standout talent, Tuchel may have found the creative spark England needs to elevate their game.
