Chelsea have significantly increased their crossing attempts this season, with 324 crosses so far compared to 558 in the entirety of last season.

However, their efficiency remains poor, completing just 20% of crosses and scoring only four headers in the Premier League.

Notably, Marc Cucurella is the only Chelsea player to have converted a cross from open play this season. Despite their struggles, the addition of a strong aerial presence, like Liam Delap, could transform Chelsea’s fortunes.

While Delap has yet to score a header this season, his physicality could create opportunities for creative players such as Cole Palmer and Jadon Sancho to exploit, adding a new dimension to Chelsea’s attack.
