Chelsea are reportedly open to allowing Christopher Nkunku to leave during the January transfer window if the French forward pushes for a move, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The 26-year-old has grown increasingly frustrated with his lack of Premier League game time under manager Enzo Maresca, who seemingly does not view him as a consistent No. 9 for the team. As a result, Nkunku has primarily featured in the Europa Conference League this season.
Despite limited opportunities in the league, Nkunku has delivered solid performances, scoring 12 goals and providing four assists across all competitions. However, his dissatisfaction with his role at Chelsea has sparked rumours of a potential switch, with Manchester United emerging as a possible destination.
The Blues are reportedly open to loaning or even selling Nkunku permanently in the winter window if the player pushes for an exit. This move could provide Chelsea with an opportunity to restructure their attacking options while addressing Nkunku’s concerns over playing time.
