Chelsea recorded a second consecutive defeat, as the Blues were beaten 2-0 by Ipswich away at Portman Road.

Chelsea’s poor defending led to the Blues conceding two goals, but it was a game Chelsea should have won if they took their chances.

Speaking after the game, Enzo Maresca pointed out how good the Ipswich goalkeeper was on the night, and hinted that Joao Felix and Noni Madueke should have taken their chances.

“Strange game in terms of creating many chances and we could’ve scored many, but they saved goals on the line or great saves from the keeper,” he said.

“We could do many things better, defend better in some moments.”

He added: “We had chances with Joao [Felix] and Noni [Madueke], so it’s not about the striker. Sometimes you create chances and it doesn’t go for you.”
