Though Thiago Silva departed Chelsea at the end of the 2023/24 season, the legendary defender remains a devoted supporter of the Blues and has been following their impressive performances this season.

Now playing for Fluminense after joining the Brazilian club on a free transfer this summer, Silva couldn’t hide his admiration for Cole Palmer’s outstanding form.

The 39-year-old recently took to Instagram to show his appreciation, posting a picture of himself performing Palmer’s signature ‘cold’ celebration while wearing a Fluminense jersey. Silva even tagged Palmer in the post, adding snowflake and laughing emojis to highlight his playful tribute.

Palmer has been a standout player for Chelsea this season, building on a stellar debut campaign with the club. Silva witnessed Palmer’s brilliance first-hand last season and seems thrilled by the young Englishman’s continued impact.

With 12 goals and six assists in just 18 Premier League games, Palmer has become a key figure for the Blues, proving his value as one of their most exciting players.
