Chelsea have been linked with Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap as a potential target for the January transfer window or next summer. However, the Blues could face stiff competition for the 21-year-old’s signature.

According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United and Liverpool are also monitoring Delap, while his former club Manchester City are keeping a close eye on his development.

City, who sold Delap to Ipswich in the summer, hold a significant advantage over other interested clubs. The reigning Premier League champions included a buyback clause in the deal, allowing them to re-sign the striker for a predetermined fee.

Delap has been a key figure for Ipswich this season, scoring six goals and providing one assist in 17 appearances for the Premier League newcomers.
