Former England striker Chris Sutton has tipped Chelsea to come out on top against Ipswich Town in their upcoming clash on December 30, despite acknowledging the Tractor Boys’ strong form this season.

Sutton praised Ipswich’s spirited display against Arsenal but believes Chelsea’s quality will prove decisive.

“Fair play to the Tractor Boys, as much as I love giving them a kicking at times, they ran Arsenal close on Friday night. That was typical of Kieran McKenna’s side this season,” Sutton said.

However, the pundit remains confident in Chelsea’s ability to secure a win, adding:

“I am backing them [Chelsea] to bounce back here, though, because they should have too much quality for Ipswich.”

Chelsea will look to capitalise on their depth and experience to ensure victory, while Ipswich will aim to build on their recent performances against top-flight opposition.
