Jadon Sancho’s performance in Chelsea’s 2-1 Boxing Day defeat to Fulham has come under scrutiny, with his individual statistics highlighting a lackluster display that could see him dropped from the starting XI in the next game.

Sancho played the full 90 minutes but failed to make a significant impact. According to FotMob, the winger managed only one shot during the match and missed a big chance to score. His dribbling success rate was a modest 50% (1 out of 2 attempts), and he failed to deliver any accurate crosses (0/2). Most concerning was his inability to create any chances, leaving Chelsea’s attack without much-needed creativity from the flanks.

These numbers contributed to his underwhelming match rating of 6.1, which reflects a performance far below the standards expected of him. Despite joining Chelsea as an intelligent acquisition from Manchester United in the summer, Sancho is yet to display consistent form and deliver the level of impact required in crucial games.

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca will have a decision to make ahead of the next fixture, as the Blues cannot afford another flat attacking performance. With talented players like Joao Felix and Tyrique George waiting for opportunities, Sancho’s place in the starting XI could now be in jeopardy.

Sancho must find consistency quickly if he wants to maintain his spot and contribute meaningfully to Chelsea’s ambitions this season.
