Noni Madueke’s absence from Chelsea’s squad in the defeat against Fulham raised eyebrows among fans, as no injury was reported for the winger.

Speaking after the game, head coach Enzo Maresca clarified the situation, stating it was purely a tactical choice. “It was a technical decision,” Maresca revealed during the post-match press conference.

Interestingly, Maresca opted to include a second goalkeeper on the bench instead of Madueke.

Despite the decision, Chelsea struggled to make an impact during the match, with Maresca using just one substitution as the team conceded a late winner in injury time.
