Everton manager Sean Dyche believes his side came close to taking all three points in their 0-0 draw with Chelsea in the Premier League clash at Goodison Park.
“I said before the game, Enzo Maresca has done a fine job and they have certainly shown the power they have got,” Dyche told BBC after the match.
Reflecting on the tightly contested game, Dyche felt both teams had their moments but praised the effort and discipline shown by his players.
“We could have nicked it. It was two teams going at it in the right way. You have to be willing to put a shift in, and I think that was on show today,” he said.
With limited chances for either side, Dyche acknowledged the evenly matched nature of the contest.
“Chances were minimal. They had a couple, and we had a couple towards the end. We take a point,” he added.
