Chelsea and Everton played out a hard-fought goalless draw at Goodison Park, with both sides leaving the pitch feeling they could have done more to secure all three points.

Everton might argue they deserved a victory, with Robert Sanchez pulling off a couple of crucial saves and Tosin Adarabioyo making a heroic block to deny the hosts.

On the other hand, Chelsea created some excellent chances, most notably when Nicolas Jackson hit the post from close range in the first half.

Statistically, the Blues edged the contest. According to Squawka, Chelsea had a higher xG, reflecting the quality of their chances. They also registered more shot attempts (12 to Everton’s 5) and dominated touches in the opposition box (24 to 7).

Taking the numbers into account, Chelsea perhaps should have edged a narrow 1-0 win. However, the 0-0 draw ultimately felt like a fair outcome in what was a tightly contested Premier League encounter.
