Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has delivered encouraging news on Reece James’ recovery, confirming that the club captain has returned to partial team training as part of his rehabilitation process.

Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s match against Everton, Maresca said, “Reece will finally start with us for part of the session. Slowly, he’ll be back. We’ll now build his condition, and then he will be ready to play. Doesn’t mean it will be this Sunday.”

While James is not expected to feature imminently, his progress signals a positive step toward regaining full fitness after an injury-plagued season. The defender has been limited to just four Premier League appearances in the 2024/25 campaign, leaving Chelsea fans eagerly awaiting his return to action.

As the Blues continue to navigate a demanding season, the return of their influential captain will be a welcome boost for both the squad and supporters.
