Chelsea winger Noni Madueke has humorously dismissed suggestions that the Blues are serious contenders for the Premier League title this season.
Speaking to the BBC, Madueke was asked if he believes Chelsea can mount a title challenge, to which he replied, “What? I don’t even know what that is. I don’t even know what you’re talking about!”
The 22-year-old’s light-hearted response appears to reflect his desire to stay grounded despite Chelsea’s strong form in the 2024/25 campaign. With much of the season still ahead, Madueke seems focused on maintaining consistency and avoiding any premature expectations.
Madueke has registered five goals and three assists in 15 Premier League appearances this season. While his performances have been promising, the winger will likely need to find greater consistency to help Chelsea close the gap on league leaders Liverpool.
With the title race heating up, Chelsea fans will hope Madueke and his teammates can continue their impressive form and keep the pressure on at the top of the table.
