Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has reaffirmed his support for Mykhailo Mudryk following the winger’s provisional suspension after a positive doping test.
Addressing the situation, Maresca was clear in his belief that Mudryk’s career at Chelsea is far from over.
“After the club’s statement, things became a bit clearer, but I have nothing to add,” Maresca said.
“The entire staff supports and trusts Misha. He has our full support. When such things happen, you need to stand by your player in every aspect.”
When asked if the Ukrainian international’s career at Stamford Bridge was in jeopardy, Maresca firmly dismissed the idea.
“No, I don’t think so,” he stated. “I believe he will return. We don’t know when, but that’s the only uncertainty for now. He will definitely return.”
