Chelsea loanee Raheem Sterling remains committed to breaking into Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal team this season, despite his struggles for regular game time since his deadline day move to the Emirates.
Sterling, who joined the Gunners on loan late in the summer transfer window after falling out of favour at Chelsea, has barely featured under Arteta, sparking speculation about a potential early return to Stamford Bridge in January.
However, according to the Evening Standard, the 30-year-old has no intention of cutting his loan spell short. Arteta, addressing Sterling’s situation, acknowledged the player’s desire for more opportunities, stating:
“He’s desperate to play.”
Sterling, once a key figure in Pep Guardiola’s dominant Manchester City side, has faced questions about his sharpness and pace in recent seasons. Despite this, the England international remains determined to prove his worth in north London and rediscover the form that once made him one of the Premier League’s standout stars.
