Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk is unable to train with his teammates as further details emerge regarding his doping suspension.
The Ukrainian international has been provisionally suspended from football after failing a drugs test, with reports suggesting he could face up to a four-year ban if the allegations are confirmed.
Mudryk, who joined Chelsea in a deal potentially worth £88.5 million, returned a positive result for an A-sample in late October. The winger and the club are now awaiting the outcome of the B-sample, which will either confirm or overturn the original result.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Mudryk is currently barred from training at Cobham due to the conditions of his provisional suspension.
Despite the setback, Mudryk “categorically denies intentional wrongdoing.” He had previously passed a doping test in August, and a specialist law firm is handling the matter on his behalf.
