Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson shared his thoughts on the Blues’ hard-fought 2-1 victory over Brentford in the Premier League on Sunday, expressing his happiness with the team’s performance and his own contributions.

“Very big win. Not an easy game. They’re a difficult side to play against,” Jackson admitted.

Reflecting on the challenges posed by Brentford, he added, “It was difficult because they always play set pieces. But we won. I’m very happy.”

The forward credited the team’s adherence to Enzo Maresca’s tactics for the result. “Listen to the manager, respect the plan, and we did that. It was more difficult at the end because they wanted to score again,” he explained.

Jackson also opened up about his mind-set during the match, particularly after missing an opportunity to score. “I missed that one, but I was thinking I’ll get another one and try to score to help the team win. I did exactly that,” he said.

Reflecting on his development, Jackson emphasised the importance of experience and self-belief. “It’s all about getting more experience. I’m getting more confident,” he concluded.

The win marked another step forward for Chelsea and for Jackson, whose growing confidence is becoming a key asset for the team.
