Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca’s attention to detail has brought the best out of Jadon Sancho, as the Manchester United loanee begins to thrive at Stamford Bridge.

Sancho, who has been known for his creativity, is now adding goals to his game, thanks to Maresca’s encouragement during training sessions.

Speaking at a recent press conference, Maresca revealed the simple yet effective advice he gave the English winger:
“I told Jadon not only to look for assists every time. But also when in a good position to shoot also, he can do it and get us goals.”

Sancho appears to have taken the manager’s words to heart. The winger has scored in two consecutive Premier League matches, showcasing his growing confidence in front of goal. This newfound clinical edge has added a crucial dimension to Chelsea’s attack.

Sancho himself has spoken highly of Maresca’s influence on his game since joining the Blues.

“My first talk with him I got a good feeling. When I entered the room I felt his aura,” Sancho told Sky Sports, highlighting the Italian tactician’s ability to inspire and motivate.

Sancho’s stats back up his improvement under Maresca. With five assists and two goals in just 11 games, he now boasts an impressive seven goal contributions. His ability to both create and finish chances has made him a key player in Chelsea’s resurgence this season.
