Chelsea’s young midfielder Samuel Rak-Sakyi has credited teammate Tosin Adarabioyo and his faith for inspiring his standout performance in the 3-1 victory over Astana in Kazakhstan.

Speaking after the game, Rak-Sakyi revealed how Adarabioyo’s leadership off the pitch and support in the dressing room made a significant impact on him.

“All the players have been really helpful, and Tosin is a real leader in the changing room. He, in particular, has helped me,” Rak-Sakyi shared, highlighting the influence of the experienced defender.

The midfielder also expressed gratitude for the opportunity to represent Chelsea and emphasised his faith as a driving force behind his success.

“It was a good experience, and I’m very proud. I want to give the glory to God because without Him, none of this would be possible,” he said.

“They were tough conditions, but you’ve got to be ready to play,” he admitted. “I’m just happy to have had the opportunity.”
