Chelsea secured a comfortable victory over Astana in the UEFA Conference League with a heavily rotated squad, giving fans plenty of fresh faces to assess for Man of the Match honours.

Pedro Neto, the only Premier League regular in the starting XI, impressed many with his influence during the first half before being substituted. However, Chelsea’s younger talents, including Sam Rak-Sakyi, Josh Acheampong, and Marc Guiu, also garnered significant praise for their performances.

Fans were split in their assessments. Some highlighted Rak-Sakyi’s composure, citing his 99% passing accuracy and creative contributions. Others were impressed with Acheampong, who delivered a stellar defensive display in his first senior outing of the season. Guiu’s opening goal and Neto’s early dominance also earned notable mentions.

FakePretendeRat: “Rak-Sakyi or Acheampong for me. Happy having those two in the squad honestly”

WhetBred14: “Josh showing why they are want him to sign a new deal but Rak-Sakyi get MOTM for me. Don’t think he did almost anything wrong.”

burningbarn8: “Acheampong, he was stellar. Some really good passing and very solid defensively, you wouldn’t have guess that was his senior first game of the season after a period of not even playing for the academy.”

Headlesshorsman02: “Guiu I guess not many standout performers really just a decent game”

christianrojoisme: “In terms of expectations vs actual performance, Rak-Sakyi. 99% passing rate, only missed one in such icy conditions. Created a good chance. Could see the potential for the lad”

betterthanclooney: “Guiu for that first goal. Neto for forcing the issue early so he didn’t have to play the 2nd half. And Acheampong was the best of the Cobham group”

Cytrial: “Neto for me. He only played half, but he made such a difference being out there compared to anyone else.”
