Chelsea fans have been urged to consider the possibility of Cole Palmer leaving Stamford Bridge, with former Manchester United striker Louis Saha suggesting the move “would make sense” due to Palmer’s childhood allegiance to the Red Devils.
Since joining Chelsea from Manchester City, Palmer has transformed into one of the Premier League’s most lethal attacking threats.
However, Saha believes the 22-year-old winger could eventually seek new challenges, either at Old Trafford or in Spain, and thinks Palmer won’t be able to resist Real Madrid if they came knocking.
Speaking to Complete Sports, Saha remarked:
“Palmer to Manchester United would one day make sense because he grew up being a fan of the club, but there is only one club I can see him going to after Chelsea.
“I can see him being on a trajectory to Real Madrid, and I don’t think the move would phase him. He never doubts himself or thinks about things for too long. He wants to enjoy his game, and he’s having fun. I’m very jealous of Chelsea because he is a huge star, and I think he’d be a big success if he went to Spain.”
While Chelsea supporters are relishing Palmer’s contributions, Saha’s comments have sparked discussions about the winger’s long-term future. With his rapid rise continuing to attract attention, the Blues may face challenges in holding onto their prized asset.
