Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has joked about Marc Cucurella’s fall in Chelsea’s 4-3 victory over Tottenham.
Cucurella slipped twice during the first ten minutes of the first-half against Spurs, and both slips resulted in Chelsea conceding two goals.
Chelsea would show character and go on to win the game, and Maresca can now joke about it.
Enzo Maresca doesn’t see Arsenal and Liverpool conceding in the title race, as he joked that they don’t slip like Cucurella.
“Arsenal, City and Liverpool probably don’t slide – like Cucurella did,” the Chelsea boss joked.
“To be serious, we are not ready, we are far from these teams but we focus on day-by-day and trying to improve the team.”
After enjoying the Tottenham victory, Enzo Maresca has told his players to focus on the upcoming game, and put the work on the training ground.
Enzo Maresca said: “After the game, my message to the players is to be focused in the day by day, our sessions, the next game on Thursday and then Sunday.
“The main focus has to be to enjoy the day off and when we come back, 100%, train well, go for the game.”
Up next for Chelsea is the Conference League game away to Astana on Thursday, before hosting Brentford in the Premier League on Sunday.
