Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez put in a brilliant display against Aston Villa, as Chelsea won that game 3-0.
Robert Sanchez has faced multiple criticisms since last season due to his errors at the back.
Tim Sherwood has again criticised the Chelsea goalkeeper.
Speaking on Generation xG, Tim Sherwood praised Sanchez’s long distribution of the ball, but says that the Chelsea goalkeeper is the worst short passer in the Chelsea team, claiming that he makes poor errors while trying to pass out from the back.
“That was one of the passes of the day from the goalkeeper?” The host said.
“He is the worst short passer in the team, the goalkeeper. He makes poor errors, the amount of chances that come from when Sanchez tries to pass the ball out and he just gives it to them,” Sherwood said.
According to stats, Robert Sanchez actually has one of the worst short passing accuracy in the Chelsea team, which is something the coaching crew should work on.
