Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen had a good game as Chelsea defeated Heidenheim 2-0 in the Conference League game.
To keep a clean sheet, Jorgensen made 10 saves, including an astonishing double stop when Chelsea still had a one-goal lead.
Joe Cole believes Jorgensen has showed enough quality to displace Robert Sanchez as Chelsea’s number 1.
“Jorgensen as well played very well tonight and there’s a lot of Chelsea fans who’d like to see him as the No 1,” Joe Cole said on TNT Sports after Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Heidenheim.
Cole added: “He’s one of them goalies you don’t hear his name, nothing flashy he gets the job done, good hands.
“What’s interesting is it’s been a canter for Chelsea but he’s faced a lot of shots so he’s getting tested and producing moments, good positioning, consistently. He’ll be pushing for a start as well.”
Jorgensen is yet to play a Premier League game since joining Chelsea in the summer. All his games have come in the Conference League and Carabao Cup.
