Chelsea continued their 100 percent winning record in this season’s Europa Conference League, as the Blues defeated Heidenheim 2-0 away in Germany.
After a goalless first-half, second half goals from Christopher Nkunku and Mykhailo Mudryk saw Chelsea take maximum points.
Nkunku, who has been trying to break into the first-team, broke the deadlock shortly after the restart as he took in Jadon Sancho’s cross and finished with aplomb to net his fifth goal of the competition and 11th in total across all competitions so far this season.
With the game drawing to a close, Mudryk struck a shot into the top corner with an impressive finish after being picked out by Sancho.
Unfortunately, Cesare Casadei was sent-off for Chelsea in injury time as a result of two bookable offences.
Nkunku has scored in every Conference League game he has played, and is sending out a message to Enzo Maresca that he’s the man for the job.
