Chelsea centre-back Wesley Fofana played as a right-back in the 2-1 victory over Leicester City.

Reece James was injured and unavailable for the game, while Malo Gusto was ill.

Blues boss Enzo Maresca decided to deploy Wesley Fofana at right-back, and the Frenchman had a good game against his former side.

Fofana has said he enjoyed his new role, even though he’s a traditional centre-back.

“I enjoyed it!” Fofana said after the game when asked about playing the new role.

“To be totally honest, I don’t really care where I play. Wherever the manager wants me to play, I’m happy to do my job.

“Whenever I pull on the Chelsea shirt, I just try to do my best and help the team in any way I can. I enjoy playing right-back or centre-back, wherever I’m needed!”
