Chelsea put in a good performance to beat Leicester City 2-1 away at the King Power Stadium.

It was a brilliant performance from the Blues, and the scoreline didn’t suggest how the game actually went.

Goals from Nicolas Jackson and Enzo Fernandez sealed the victory for Chelsea.

Blues boss Enzo Maresca was pleased with the contribution of his goalscorers.

He said after the game: “For the first 30 minutes we were in complete control of the game and then started to make some mistakes and lost some control.

“In the last 10 minutes of the first half we started to be a bit sloppy. This is something we can learn that in football you can’t drop anything.”

Jackson has so far recorded seven goals and three assists in 12 Premier League appearances for the Blues. Aside his goal, Enzo Maresca was especially pleased with the striker’s work off the ball.

He said of Nicolas Jackson: “Since we started he’s doing fantastic.

“Everyone is watching the goals and assists but the way he works off the ball and presses, he’s doing very well.”

For Enzo Fernandez, it was his first start since the 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest on 6 October, and he played very well.

Enzo Maresca said of Enzo Fernandez: “Enzo is doing fantastic since we started.

“The game plan requires different types of players for every day. Today was a game for Enzo.”
