Noni Madueke has been making a name for himself in the England national team.
After becoming a mainstay in the Chelsea team, Madueke is now forcing himself into the England team.
During the international break, Noni Madueke started back to back games for England, and did well.
Against Greece, the Chelsea winger assisted Ollie Watkins’ opening goal for the Three Lions, and was a threat throughout the game until he was subbed off after the hour mark.
Former England striker Darren Bent, has spoken about the sudden rise of Madueke, and has hailed the 22-year-old for upping his game.
TalkSPORT pundit Darren Bent believes Madueke has put down a marker with his two performances in the last few days.
Bent told talkSPORT: “I think the [England] squad is thicker than maybe we anticipated. When I say thicker, I’m talking about depth. For instance, it was always [Bukayo] Saka. You’ve got [Jarrod] Bowen. Now you’ve got Madueke all of a sudden. Talk about somebody taking their opportunity. He’s played well.”
