Despite the trimming done by Enzo Maresca during the summer, Chelsea still have a large squad of players.

Enzo Maresca has a large squad to choose from, and has the luxury of choosing two teams.

Chelsea currently have six centre-backs – Levi Colwill and Wesley Fofana who are the main centre-back duo, and also Tosin Adarabioyo, Axel Disasi, Renato Veiga and Benoit Badiashile.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Italian giants Juventus are keen to strengthen their defensive line, and Benoit Badiashile is on their radar.

Badiashile is currently in the B team and is struggling for minutes, having made just one appearance in the Premier League off the bench.

Badiashile joined Chelsea from Monaco in January 2023, and came with a lot of prospect. He is still just 23 years old, but hasn’t been able to cement a starting role so far.

Juventus feel they may have spotted an opportunity to sign a talented young centre-back on favourable terms, preferably on loan with an option to buy.

It’s yet to be seen what Chelsea plan to do with the Frenchman.
