As Chelsea fans, the idea of Christopher Nkunku leaving Stamford Bridge so soon is hard to imagine. Yet, recent reports suggest that European heavyweights Bayern Munich and Liverpool are now interested in our talented attacking star.

According to Fichajes, both clubs are monitoring Nkunku’s situation closely as he considers his future due to limited playing time at Chelsea.

Nkunku joined the Blues in the summer of 2023 with high expectations, following a phenomenal spell with RB Leipzig where he shone in the Bundesliga and Champions League.

However, a serious knee injury kept him out for much of his debut campaign, and while he’s regained fitness, he has struggled to find regular minutes under Enzo Maresca.

Despite scoring 10 goals and contributing an assist in just 700 minutes across 17 appearances, he’s reportedly frustrated with his lack of game time.

Bayern Munich and Liverpool see his versatility and talent as a perfect fit for their squads.

Liverpool, potentially preparing for a future without Mohamed Salah, view Nkunku as an ideal replacement. His ability to play as a number ten or on either flank would make him a valuable asset for the Reds.

Bayern Munich, meanwhile, are looking to add new attacking options and believe Nkunku could provide tactical flexibility for Vincent Kompany in the final third.

Both clubs appear ready to make a serious bid, but Chelsea are reportedly determined to keep Nkunku. His contract runs until the summer of 2029, and the club believes he still has a crucial role to play under Maresca.

As fans, we’re hopeful that Nkunku’s immense talent will shine through at Stamford Bridge and that he’ll stay with us to reach his full potential. With the right support and opportunities, there’s no doubt he can be a game-changer for Chelsea.
