Chelsea forward Pedro Neto expressed mixed feelings after scoring in the Blues’ 1-1 draw against Arsenal, admitting he was disappointed not to secure all three points.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, Neto emphasized Chelsea’s intent to win but acknowledged the quality of their opponents.
“We wanted to win, but we knew we had hard work in front of us because they are a good team,” Neto said.
“We came to win, so we’re not as happy as we wanted to be, but we didn’t want to lose and it’s a good point against a good team.”
Reflecting on Chelsea’s overall performance, Neto noted the team’s strong understanding of Arsenal’s game, while also recognizing areas for improvement. “We read the game well. We had moments we could have been better but we’ve done a good job and we want to keep improving at this level.”
Neto, who scored his first Premier League goal for Chelsea in this fixture, shared his satisfaction in contributing to the team’s efforts. “I am really happy to help the team. This is a group that works really hard each day. I work every day to improve, I’m trying to improve and go to my best level.”
Despite the frustration of not clinching the win, Neto’s determination and commitment to improvement are promising signs for Chelsea fans as the team continues to battle at the top end of the Premier League.
