Mikel Arteta has been used to be beating Chelsea since taking over as Arsenal manager.
Chelsea were in a bad state for much of last season, until towards the end of the campaign.
When Chelsea played Arsenal last time out, the Blues suffered a 5-0 defeat away at the Emirates Stadium.
Arteta has urged his Arsenal side to put in same performance like they did against Inter and they’d beat Chelsea.
Facing the media after Arsenal’s defeat to Inter Milan, a bullish Arteta insisted his side were more than capable of beating Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
“If we play the way we played against Inter then we have a big chance to win against Chelsea,” Arteta told reporters at his post-match press conference after losing to Inter Milan.
“That’s the way we have to go. I told them that I’m proud of them, I haven’t seen them play in Europe in the manner that we played today.
“We are very disappointed because we didn’t get what we wanted out of the game, that’s for sure.”
For Enzo Maresca, he has revealed he watched Chelsea’s 5-0 defeat to Arsenal, and wants to lead Chelsea to a London derby victory against Arsenal on Sunday.
Enzo Maresca said: “Hopefully we can win Sunday, we can win that kind of game. If I can decide, I would like to win against Arsenal, no doubt.
“But, also, Liverpool away, the performance was very good, we didn’t deserve to lose. Even City. The good thing is that we are there.”
Enzo Maresca added: “I didn’t watch the game in the last days. I watched the game in the summer when I watched all of last season’s games.
“I’m now more focused on what they are doing this season than last season. For sure, that game was a big, huge defeat for us, for the club. Hopefully, we can do something different on Sunday.”
