Enzo Maresca has revealed how he’s been working to improve Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk.

Mudryk hasn’t had the best of starts to the season, but has been improving gradually.

Enzo Maresca has stated that Mudryk still has a lot to improve on, but admitted his progress.

“First of all, we have to say after Panathinaikos, I think we play Newcastle at home and he [Mykhailo Mudryk] played some minutes and then away and he played from the start,” said Enzo Maresca in his pre-match press conference.

“He is not playing from the start but he is playing. Defensively, there are some things he needs to improve but so do the rest.

“On the ball, I think our wingers need to arrive in the box.

“We want our wingers to arrive in the box. At the beginning, they struggled but now they are doing much better.

“Everyone is the way they are. It is difficult to change people.

“If you are shy or not shy, it is difficult to change. With Misha, he looks a little bit shy but when he is with us, he is okay.”

Mudryk has made eight appearances across all competitions for Chelsea so far this season.
