Chelsea were hoping to take all three points against a struggling Manchester United side that have been poor all season.
The Blues ended up playing a 1-1 at Old Trafford – a recurring story, as Chelsea have been unable to win there in over a decade now.
Frank Lampard was in the Sky Sports studio to analyse this game, and while he hailed Chelsea’s improvement, he also pointed out that Chelsea’s misplaced passes cost the team.
Lampard also admitted that Enzo Fernandez may have to work hard to earn back his place in the team.
Romeo Lavia has formed a strong partnership with Moises Caicedo in the middle, which Enzo Maresca seems to like.
“How Chelsea have been playing, they are confident in what they are trying to do,” Lampard said.
“Chelsea kept missing the passes, I think they will be disappointed, but on the flip side they are getting better.
“You want to see a bit more from what they showed at the top end of the pitch.
“Romeo Lavia can receive and find passes through lines. For Enzo Fernandez, he will have to work hard to get back into the team.”
