Moises Caicedo has been in top form for Chelsea this season.

Caicedo was signed as a Premier League record signing from Brighton for a British record transfer fee of £115m.

Caicedo was criticised last season when Chelsea struggled for form, with many claiming he wasn’t worth the fee.

However, Caicedo has been world-class this season. Moises Caicedo scored the only goal for Chelsea in the 1-1 draw against Manchester United. The Ecuadorian was named the man of the match, after a stunning performance.

For Enzo Maresca, the only problem associated with Caicedo is his huge transfer fee.

“Moi is doing fantastic. I said within the week, that ‘the only problem’ with him is that the club paid big money for him,” Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca said.

“Because of that, people expect them always to be the best, but the thing is he’s a player, a human being, so it’s normal to have a little bit up and down.

“Moi since we arrived is improving a lot. We are trying to spend time with him to make him better.”
