Robert Sanchez gained attention for the wrong reason yet again, as Chelsea played a 1-1 draw with Manchester United.

Sanchez made another error to concede a penalty against Manchester United, which is now his third error leading to a goal this season.

Enzo Maresca however hasn’t changed his mind about Robert Sanchez being his first-choice goalkeeper despite his continuous mistakes.

According to reports, Enzo Maresca still sees Robert Sanchez as his number one goalkeeper.

Sanchez is expected start in goal for Chelsea for the game against Arsenal.

Chelsea’s second choice goalkeeper is Filip Jorgensen who usually starts in Cup games and in the Europa Conference League.

Enzo Maresca had previously revealed he’d only drop Sanchez if he stops passing out from the back.

Speaking to the press after the win over Newcastle, Maresca was asked about Sanchez’s poor distribution as he completed half of his attempted passes against Newcastle( 20 out of 40).

Maresca responded: “Yes (Sanchez made mistakes) but he also did so many good things. At the end, it’s football. I ask Robert to do that.”

He went on: “The moment he stops doing that (trying to play out from the back), he is not going to play.

“If Robert makes a mistake, it’s not Robert’s problem, it’s my mistake because I asked that from Robert.

“I am very happy with Robert and the way he is playing, building from the back.”
