Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson is one of the most improved players in the Premier League, coming from last season.
Jackson has started the season in fine form, and is one of the league’s top scorers with 6 Premier League goals already – only behind Cole Palmer and Erling Haaland.
Ben Foster has stated that the Senegal international is still not getting the credit he deserves for the consistent performances he is putting out there.
He said on the FozCast: “One player who never gets the love he should is Nicolas Jackson. Fair play to him, he’s doing the job. He’s putting the ball in the back of the net and he’s doing it on the regular.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea boss has hinted that Nicolas Jackson will continue as first choice striker ahead of Christopher Nkunku.
“We know very well that he is important for us,” Enzo Maresca said about Jackson.
“On the ball he is working fantastic – he’s scoring goals, he’s assisting, he’s linking with his teammates; off the ball he is working hard, he’s pressing the way we want to press and he’s doing fantastic with us.
“We also have Christopher [Nkunku] there. He’s going to help us because the season is very long. We have so many games and also sometimes the game plan can be different, it can be more for Christopher than Nico. We also have young talent so we can choose.”
