Joao Felix is yet to start a Premier League game this season for Chelsea.

The 23-year-old has made only five substitute appearances in the league for Chelsea, and was left on the bench for the game against Liverpool.

Felix is part of Chelsea’s second string squad for now, but he has revealed that he’s ready to fight his way into the first team, and it’s only a matter of time.

“I knew the competition would be hard,” Joao Felix said in a press conference.

“But I’m here to work. I know what I can do, what I’m able to do. It’s just a matter of time.

“You’ll never see me stop working to follow my dreams and I’m here to play, of course. And I think it’s just a matter of time.

“I spoke with Enzo before I signed with Chelsea. I liked what he said to me. I like the way he thinks of football, the way he plays.”

Joao Felix is expected to play against Panathinaikos in the Conference League on Thursday.
